Not all rat encounters are created equal. I built this pack for a combat that would make my players' skin crawl. You can use this encounter in a sewer, a city street, or in the aftermath of a battle. Have your players encounter the plague first and then have them track these creatures down to eradicate it. The Plague Rat King leads the swarm. I gave him three actions, one for each head. If you really want to step the encounter up, give him legendary actions and let him direct his minions between turns. Use the three swarm bases to represent waves of rats at different stages of the encounter, or place them as environmental hazards your players have to navigate. Pair with the Giant Rats in the Wilderness Scavenger Pack for an even larger infestation scene. Compatible with D&D 5E, Pathfinder, Rangers of Shadow Deep, and most 32mm fantasy tabletop RPGs.
