Stratagemmi 49 | Ibridazione, intermedialità, rimediazione e mediatizzazione nel teatro di Łukasz Twarkowski di Laura Gemini
This article analyzes Rohtko and the theatre of Łukasz Twarkowski as a case of contemporary theatre-cinema, proposing a reading grounded in the concepts of hybridity, intermediality, remediation, and mediatization. The analysis focuses on the functioning of the scenic dispositif, understood as a hybrid environment in which live performance and live cinema coexist while maintaining their distinctiveness, thereby reconfiguring space, time, and vision. Intermediality is used to describe the interaction between different media within the performance, while remediation allows the relationship with cinema to be interpreted as a tension between the immediacy of the image and its constructed nature. Mediatization, distinguished from mediation, situates the work within a cultural condition in which media actively participate in shaping reality and its regimes of credibility. On a thematic level, Rohtko addresses issues of authenticity, copying, and the value of the artwork within the art system. The article connects these two levels, showing how the performative dispositif not only represents these themes but makes them operative within the spectator’s experience.Berlin-Twarkowski: Tel Quel
