Factory Cosmetic Blem: kLite Dual USB Charger

Our recent warehouse consolidation project has turned up a bunch of factory blemish kLite Dual USB chargers as well as a set of factory blemish kLite ULTRA lamps (Adventure and Race Models). This is your chance to get some functionally perfect, cosmetically imperfect product at a massive discount over new. Plus, these factory blemished products carry a full kLite 2-year warranty. The Dual USB charger ships with a tube of dielectric grease, useful for keeping the metal connections fresh and rust-free. Don't use it on the yellow wire loom connections, please. Each of these units is blemished in their own distinctive manner, the photos are representative of the blemishes, yours may be blemished in a slightly different way. All of these products are 100% functionally certified by kLite. If you were thinking about getting a backup USB charger or adding a different light to your collection, this is your chance! Also, you'll need a kLite wire loom to connect this to your dynamo hub. About the kLite Dual USB Charger: The kLite dual USB charger connects securely to the kLite wire loom, providing USB charging for two USB connections. Includes a red LED to indicate charging is active. The configuration is ideal for devices that need constant power (like a trail GPS) or devices that need to be recharged (like a phone or storage battery). The USB device is "always on" when using the pro / race wire loom. During the daytime, toggle off the lighting unit using the switch on the wiring loom; this shifts 100% of the alternating current from the dynamo hub to the USB charger. The charger converts the variable AC to a steady 5V DC for use across the two USB ports. At night, switch the light on, and prioritize charging only for necessary components--like your GPS. The unit is small (8cm x 3.5cm x 2.5cm) rugged, waterproof, and lightweight. It has ziptie ports on one end to help with fitting on your adventure rig, but most simply tuck it inside one of their bags and zip the closure up to the wire to facilitate on-the-trail charging. Use a light coating of dielectric grease on the exterior metallic components and on USB input terminals to maximize the electrical connection and reduce the potential for corrosion, particularly if the USB charger is mounted externally and when riding in salty air, winter months, or in persistent rain. Avoid using dielectric grease on the yellow friction-fit kLite terminals, they are waterproof by design and the use of dielectric grease can cause the terminals to vibrate loose on the trail. If you have an older (60 series) style loom and need a new USB charger, select this model and a 30 series to 60 series adapter.
