Group of 7 medals awarded to 5861 Private Willie Bin Matilda of the 1st Battalion, King’s African Rifles. He joined on 17th June 1917 for 3 years service and came from Ft Johnston District, village of Banali, Zambia. He qualified as a Machine Gunner and served for 2 years during the First World War. On 18th March 1918 he was awarded a musketry prize of 2 shillings. He later rejoined for the Second World War and saw service in Africa and the Far East. Includes some WW1 history.
