Hand-forged by Takahiro Nihei in Fukushima, Japan, this 165mm Shinkiro nakiri has an Aogami Super core at ~64 HRC with iron clad damascus and a kurouchi finish. Nakiri are purpose-built for vegetables. It has a good heft to it, with a comfortably thick spine and tall blade that provides excellent knuckle clearance. The whole blade will develop patina over time. Aogami Super is known for exceptional edge retention and sharpens easily on stones.
