Exp. Blue Silver #6 was developed in response to the popularity of Experimental Silver #6, bringing a similar reactive silver strike to a vivid cobalt blue base. This reactive silver borosilicate glass delivers a rich range of amber, purple, and smoky blue effects depending on flame atmosphere and kiln time. The blue base adds added depth and contrast, especially in thicker applications and sculptural work. At $39/lb, it offers dramatic silver reactions and layered color effects at a fraction of the cost of many comparable silver colors. Working Tip: Work in a neutral flame and use a slightly reducing flame to bring the silver effects to the surface. Long kiln times will darken the effects.
