Nov 2nd 2026 – Piano Hinge Binding with Hardcover

A new addition to our workshop range is the Piano Hinge Binding. This binding is characterized by a kind of plug-in technology – the book is based on a folded stripe of paper, which connects the single sections. A very clever technique without any glueing and stitching. And the best – it allows to remove and add single pages/sections, also after finishing the book, too. Since requiring a very exact folding and measuring of the different parts of the book, we will do it step-by-step, so no worries! We will work with different papers, the book will become a kind of a lookbook. The hardcover is based on a cardboard and you can choose from a variety of decorative patterns and monochrome papers. With the learned skills you are able to create further books by yourself. – Better pictures will follow soon 🙂 All materials are included in the costs as well as drinks and snacks. Suitable for beginners, no prior skills are required. The workshops will be held in English, but if needed, we can switch to Danish, German, Spanish, or Italian 😉 Cancellation Policy If you are unable to join the workshop you booked, feel free to give your place to somebody else. In case this is not possible, we offer to pick up a „material bag“, containing the materials we used in the workshop and a guide, so you can create the book(s) by yourself. Please note, that any bookbinding tools or glue are not included in the bag.
