53 Gallon Maple Syrup Barrel (Ex-Rye)
These barrels come to us from a boutique Maple Syrup producer in Quebec, where they were used to age traditional syrup for several months. Before that, they aged Rye by MGP. They will add a unique flavor to whatever beer, cider, wine or other beverage aged in them next. Important notes: Maple syrup sucks the moisture out of the barrel wood during the aging process. Because of this, we always recommend swelling a maple syrup barrel before filling it with a beverage.
