We have designed the 2016-2018 Hamilton Conversion Kit to fit seamlessly in place of your original radio, adding CarPlay, Android Auto, and much more. Premium touchscreen replacement for your outdated original Subaru infotainment screen. The Hamilton Conversion Kit fully supports all original radio and trim versions for the 2016-2018 Subaru WRX, including both the Clarion® or Fujitsu Ten® head units. Completely supports the original Harman Kardon® premium amplifier and upgraded audio package, if equipped. Meets and exceeds all original radio specifications for quality sound output. Supports your original backup camera and steering wheel controls. Zero impact to your optional EyeSight® driver assist technology, if equipped. Hamilton Motor Company's in-house engineering team designed this system to integrate into all the original Subaru WRX systems without compromise. This means your steering wheel controls, backup camera, and all factory safety features will function without a hitch. The device is fully plug-n-play. Whether you had the original Clarion® or Fujitsu Ten® factory head unit, the harness and installation process is the same. We will show you how to full install this unit in our complete installation video. Uses your original microphone for top call quality. The Hamilton engineers specially designed this system to operate your original microphone circuitry in the same way your factory radio did, to ensure it maintains your factory level call quality. Seamless integration for steering wheel controls, backup camera, and audio quality. Powerful Hamilton OS when not using CarPlay or Android Auto If you plan to only use CarPlay or Android Auto, you may not interact with the Hamilton underlying operating system. The Hamilton OS is a powerful operating system that allows you to load apps directly onto the device from the Google Play store. Through the Hamilton OS, you can access features that may not be available inside CarPlay or Android Auto. The device has 4G SIM support for T-Mobile and other USA SIM carriers (See product Specs for more discussion on SIM cards). Outside of CarPlay/Android Auto, you will have FM (non-HD) and AM radio. This device does not support native XM radio. You can use the Sirius XM app in CarPlay/Android Auto. It also does not support playback via DACs/MP3 devices, although the harness does contain AUX-L and R-inputs for custom setups.
