Original British Army 1944 Pattern webbing pistol holster manufactured by M.E.Co (Mills Equipment Company) and dated 1945. Constructed in wartime green webbing, this holster was designed to carry the British .38 calibre service revolver and forms part of the 1944 Pattern Web Equipment set introduced during the latter stages of the Second World War. The holster retains its original closure strap, blackened steel fittings and rear attachment hooks for fitting directly to the 1944 Pattern belt. Internal markings include the maker's stamp and stores reference AF0250. Manufactured by Mills Equipment Company, one of Britain's most important military webbing manufacturers, this is a genuine late-war British Army sidearm holster and an excellent addition to any collection of British webbing, WWII equipment or Commonwealth militaria.
