Title Killiney Hill from Seashore (2016) - Original Painting by Ross Eccles Size and Type 66 x 46 cm (26 x 18 inches) - Acrylic on canvas board About the Artwork Ross has walked on Killiney Hill with its Obelisk and breathtaking views over Killiney Bay many times. He lived in the area and, has been responsible for design and construction of family houses on the Hill in years past. With these memories in mind, Ross took out his old Canon 5D camera and visited Killiney Beach with the intention of taking photo's which could be used as a basis for this painting. Ross has little interest in copying, as it reminds him too much of his architectural past, where accuracy of drawing was an important part of recording architectural detail. Ross says, he set out to create an artistic interpretation of "Killiney Hill" without sacrificing subject recognition. An artistic "balancing act" so to speak! He hopes you like it!
