Circular needle no. 2½ mm / US 1.5 to knit the welt with Gauge 23 sts and 36 rows in stockinette stitch on needle 4 mm / US 6 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches Procedure: The top is worked in the round from the bottom up. First, a straight section is worked, after which increases are worked at the side seams. At the armholes, the work is divided and the back and front are completed separately. Finally, rib edges are worked at the neck and armholes. The pattern allows you to customize the details according to your own preferences and skill level. You may choose between two different cast-ons and two different bind-offs. In addition, the decorative welt between the top and the rib edges may either be worked or omitted for a simpler look. Both versions are described in the pattern. The top shown in the photos is worked with the welt.
