Workshop: Paper Lady Slippers with Amity Libby of Flower and Jane • Sarturday, June 13, 9:30-3:30

On Saturday, June 13th from 9:30-3:30, join paper artist Amity Libby of Flower and Jane in this one-day workshop and create realistic paper ladies’ slipper orchids out of German and Italian crepe papers, paint, wire, and glue. All materials to create the paper flowers will be provided, and students will leave with a finished paper orchid with foliage, the technical skills to create this iconic Maine flower, supplies to create two more, and access to an online companion course hosted at flowerandjane.com. Based in Waldoboro, Amity’s online art school teaches paper flower techniques to a global community. She collaborates frequently with artists to create online workshops and her goal is to develop peaceful connections through this art form. Amity currently is part of a group show at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens called Birds, Blooms, Bugs.
