Pyramid This terrarium design captures the cycle of the sun rising and setting over the Egyptian pyramids at Giza. In 1828, Jean-François Champollion led an expedition to Egypt and later published *Monuments de l'Égypte et de la Nubie*, a collection of illustrations and writings on Egypt’s monuments. Coincidentally, the first terrarium was invented by Nathanial Bagshaw Ward just a year later, in 1829. 10”L x 7” W x 15” (High at the peak with 3" wood base) Glass is cut by hand, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered using traditional stained-glass techniques Handmade Wood base from in-house woodshop.
