3" Shallow Water Semi-Rigid Fin

On a shallow river, you will hit bottom. When your fin catches a rock, there are two bad outcomes: the fin and box take the impact and your board is damaged, or the board stops dead and throws you forward off the nose. Paddlers call that second one supermanning. Neither is one you want.This fin is the 4.5-inch river fin made even shorter. At 3 inches it sits as shallow as a center fin gets, for the bony, low-water lines where a deeper fin keeps dragging. The semi-rigid material bends on impact rather than catching, and the raked shape deflects off rocks instead of hooking them. Specially designed for river running, it fits the center fin box on Hala paddleboards or any board with a standard US longboard center fin box.
