This scale is rather rare to come across, as we are one of the only flute makers to use this scale on a regular basis here at Singing Tree Flutes. The North American Indigenous scale is special because it dates back to pre-colonization. This scale was played by the indigenous people in the Great Plains. This scale was passed down to Miguel by one of his Lakota elders who was very passionate about this scale and the old style of playing the Native American flute.
