"Take this Simpsons shirt, but beware it carries a terrible curse." (That's bad). This is very much Simpsons merch for people who miss when The Simpsons was at its sharpest. When the jokes weren’t explained, and half the fun was catching the reference in the first place. It feels less like merch and more like wearing a tiny piece of an inside joke that somehow made it into pop culture. There’s a lot of Simpsons merch out there, but most of it is giant prints, loud jokes, stuff you’ve seen a thousand times. This goes the other direction. It trusts that the reference is enough.
