Falling Into Place

This collection holds a very different place in my practice. Each painting began as a layered scroll—black ink and white ink moving across the surface in overlapping passages, where every layer carries a chapter of an unfolding story. Over time, I introduced geometric forms in oil, not to interrupt the narrative, but to quietly gather it—pulling the fragments into a single, cohesive composition. The process was physically demanding, and eventually I had to step away as my hand began to spasm, but it’s a body of work I still feel deeply connected to. There’s a part of me that wishes I had more time to keep exploring where it could go, which is exactly why these pieces feel so resolved and rare at the same time.
