Bandhni Linen Artist Dress White

Wandering Silk's Artist dress is cut in a silhouette flattering to a range of shapes and sizes: the flat collar frames the face; the slightly fitted dolman sleeves add shape to the over-sized cut; and gathers under the gusset add drama and weight to the light cotton. Artist dress is mid-calf length, has side pockets and closes down the center front with mother of pearl buttons, allowing it to be worn as a dress or as an open overlay. Crafted from 40s weight linen; a mid weight and soft cloth with wonderful drape and bounce and embellished with laborious double bandhni (dot within a dot)- a hugely time consuming tie-dye technique. Each pinch of fabric is made by hand, one by one, so there might be slight variations in color and pattern between pieces.
