Braeval Distillery Braeval Distillery (formerly known as Braes of Glenlivet) was one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland at the end of the 20th century. It was founded in 1973 by Chivas Brothers Ltd., a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. It is situated near the Glenlivet Distillery, which is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland with a history dating back to 1824. Braes of Glenlivet was built as a modern distillery with state-of-the-art facilities, incorporating traditional whisky-making techniques with modern technology to produce high-quality whisky.
