Red Mulberry- Morus rubra

AVAILABLE JULY 1 2026 Morus rubra Native to south eastern Minnesota. This tree is a wildlife haven. Its berries ripen from red to black and are a sweet snack if you can beat the wildlife to them. White sap is not-edible and care should be taken to avoid eating unripe berries. The tree is moderately shade tolerant and is found growing along stream beds and other moist locations in its native habitat. It is the larval host of the beautiful Morning Cloak moth.
