Seren comes from the Welsh — it means star. Quiet, constant, unhurried light. Not the kind that announces itself. The kind you only notice once the noise settles and you look up. We chose it because that is exactly what this shirt does in a room. There is no print here. No embroidery. No quilted panel or border work competing for attention. Seren is a shirt that has decided it doesn't need any of that. It has the pleats — six knife-pleats falling from a curved yoke, pressed at the top and then released, so the fabric opens and breathes as it descends. It has the colour — a cerulean blue so calm it reads differently in every light: slate in the morning, sky at noon, something closer to dusk by evening. It has the cloth. And the cloth is enough. Seren is a hand-woven 100% cotton shirt in cerulean blue — a tunic-length piece with a rounded collarless neckline, a curved yoke seam, six knife-pleats falling from the yoke to the hem, a full-length button placket, full sleeves with a roll-up tab for three-quarter wear, and a curved rounded hem with side slits. The pleat is the design. Six folds pressed neatly at the yoke, then released — so the shirt flares gently as it falls, giving volume without weight, structure without stiffness. From the front, it is architectural. From the back, clean and uninterrupted — a single centre box pleat at the yoke and then pure cloth, falling straight. Pair it with wide white cotton trousers for a long morning. With a hand-woven dupatta for a quiet dawat. Sleeves down for formality, rolled and tabbed for the afternoon. It works at a board meeting and at chai with your mother and that is not an accident. I was made with 100% fine cotton, making me a breathable fabric. How I was woven? I was woven by "Plain weave" technique - a rare process that's almost extinct in Pakistan. How much time did it take? It took my weaver 3 hours to weave entire Shirt Fabric. About my colors. Do not worry! I will not loose my colors, I am yarn-dyed by OEKO-TEX® certified dyes, which makes me more comfortable and irritation free, which means that I'll never harm your skin.
