This Alicante Bouschet comes from a south-facing terraced vineyard with sandy loam and limestone soils, located in Porches, Algarve, just 2km from the sea. Type of Wine: Red Grape: Alicante Bouschet Region: Algarve Alcohol Content: 14.5% Producer: Quinta dos Capinhas Year: 2024 Size: 0.75L Vinification: Hand-harvested in 12kg boxes. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with 50% of the batch aged for 6 months in used French oak barrels. Production of 3,000 bottles. Tasting Notes: Aroma of red fruit, sour cherry, plum, and black pepper. On the palate, it shows soft tannins, very balanced and persistent. Pairing: Traditional Portuguese food (stews, cabidela, boiled meats) and charcuterie.
