School Holiday Program with Kerry Wednesday 8th and/or 15th July 2026

Date: Wednesday 8th and/or 15th July 2026 Time: 10am to 1.30pm (9.30am setup) Cost includes a $25 kit Get creative these school holidays and learn to sew your very own project! Our fun beginner-friendly sewing classes are designed for kids and teens aged 8–16 who want to learn the basics of sewing in a relaxed and supportive environment. Students will learn essential sewing skills including: threading a sewing machine winding bobbins pinning fabric correctly following seam allowances basic sewing machine troubleshooting and beginner sewing techniques We’ll start with some practice sewing to build confidence before moving on to the main project. Students can then choose from 4 exciting project options! The quilted bags are perfect for complete beginners, with simple straight-line sewing and easy-to-follow instructions. For students with a little more experience or who have attended a previous class, the water bottle bag and satchel bag offer a fun challenge with curves and more detailed sewing techniques. This class is aimed at beginners, so we keep instructions simple, fun, and easy to follow without overwhelming new sewists. Best of all, each student will head home with their own handmade project and new sewing skills to continue creating at home!
