Factory Sample Bobbed 4.0 Gallon Gas Tank

VT No: 38-7234 Gas tank is one piece, has a left side petcock opening, and has a fuel capacity of 4 gallons. It bolts on with original hardware. Tank is unpainted without the dash cust out. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. *NOTE: Tank uses two vented bayonet gas caps, available separately. Factory sample are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects, such as cracks or holes, there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment. FITS FXR 1982-1994
