Gibson J-35 | Natural | USA | 2013
A nice reproduction of the vintage ‘Banner Logo’ J-35. This instrument as a big, dry, woody tone. It is LOUD! This iteration of the model features forward shifted, scalloped top bracing, allowing the instrument to project a lot of mid and top end. You do not have to work hard to be heard on this guitar. Solid sitka spruce top, mahogany back, sides and give this instrument a lot of similarity with the J-45. This one has a slight belly bulging, which is not uncommon for guitars with this forward shifted bracing, as the top is given more freedom to move and project. This example has also a repaired crack in the side near the heel (as evidenced in photos). The crack has had all original pieces glued back in and is barely visible. Action is a comfortable 2.6mm at the 12th fret with room to be lowered further at the bridge if so desired. A lovely work horse acoustic with plenty of vintage Gibson appeal. ______________________________ Brand: Gibson Model: J-35 RS35ANNH1 Country: USA Year: 2013 Serial: 11283XXX Case: OHSC Body: Natural Neck: Natural Finish: Nitro Body Material: Spruce/Mahogany back & Sides Neck Material: Mahogany Fretboard Material: Rosewood Scale Length: 24 3/4” Frets: 19 Radius: 12" Profile: C Action (Low E): 2.6mm Nut: 44.0mm 12th Fret: 53.8mm 1st Fret Depth: 21.5mm 12th Fret Depth: 23.2mm Pickups: LR Baggs Element Electronics: Active Knobs: Vol Pick Guard: Tortoise tiger stripe Tuners: Kluson no line Hardware: chrome Weight: 2.3kg Mods, Repairs: Crack repair upper bout - treble side Notes: slight belly bulge
