1930s Apex 599F Ceramic and Metal Electrical Fuse Box This wonderful looking object is a 1930s Apex 599F Ceramic and Metal Electrical Fuse Box, made by the Apex Steel company, Sheffield. In distressed condition, the steel outer fuse box was once grey/blue but is now rusty and corroded. The steel isolator switch/lever can move to the on-off position and vice versa but is very stiff. The porcelain fuse holders are intact and in pretty good condition. The item has not been electrically tested and would not meet current electricity standards and legislation. It is being sold as a collectible only. Patented in 1927, It dates to approximately the 1930s and has two ceramic fuse holders.
