Peru: Cerro Blanco
Peru: Cerro Blanco is an organically-grown, fruit-forward, and balanced coffee, combining deep berry sweetness with decadent chocolate notes and a warm, cider-like finish. This coffee comes to us through our longtime friend Rachel Stanich at Covoya, a relationship that began years ago when Rachel was at Red Fox Coffee Merchants. We have followed her through the years for her emphasis on relationship and care in sourcing. Produced by the Cerro Blanco Producers Association (APROCEB) in Peru's San Martín region, this FTO (Fair Trade Organic) coffee represents a community of farming families committed to preserving their coffee-growing heritage while investing in a sustainable future. Naturally-processed and sun-dried at high elevation, it showcases the vibrant character that has made Peru one of the most exciting coffee origins we source. The Bottom Line: Black cherry sweetness, fudge-like richness, and a touch of apple cider warmth create a cup that is both comforting and unexpectedly complex. Recommended Brew: Pour Over or Espresso
