Remarks: With lid; signed by the artist and marked “Sèvres” on the bottom This pitcher was created by Taxile-Maximin Doat, a ceramic artist active at the Sèvres Manufactory in France. It beautifully reflects the decorative elegance and refined forms characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. The smooth, milky-white glaze is adorned with a medallion depicting a cherub, along with delicate ornamental bands.
