Red Pumpkin Snail

The Red Pumpkin Snail (usually Neritina sp. or Clithon sp.) is a vibrant, small freshwater nerite snail popular in planted aquariums. Measuring only about 1 to 2 cm, it is highly prized by aquascapers as a decorative cleanup crew that actively eats algae from walls, plants, and substrates. Key Care & Features Appearance: Striking red-to-orange shell, often patterned with unique dark stripes, spots, or white scribbles. Algae Control: Considered an incredibly effective scavenger that helps keep tanks spotless. No Overpopulation: They will lay tiny, sesame-seed-like eggs in freshwater, but the larvae require brackish water to survive. You won't have to worry about the tank being overrun by baby snails.
