Mimi Throw

Mimi is designed by Anderssen & Voll as a reinterpretation of houndstooth, a historic woven pattern closely associated with Scottish textiles and tailoring. By moving the familiar geometry into wool for the home and working with warmer colour relationships, the designers give the established pattern a different scale, setting and character. Designed by Anderssen & Voll At the mill in Røros, they weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface. Røros Tweed has produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.
