Sunday, November 1 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET In-Person $65 Supported / $108 Regular Fee This program is co-sponsored by Tibet House US and Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science. This daylong retreat is for all men willing to explore and transform their patriarchal conditioning. It will offer participants both a better understanding of the history and structure of this oppressive system as well as relational meditative experiences that reveal, disrupt and heal its harmful impacts on our capacity to connect with ourselves and others. Co-led by two dharma teachers who have been working together to understand and interrupt their own gender conditioning, the retreat explores key insights about how patriarchy works within and around us through a Buddhist lens. Greg and Joe bring these insights to life by offering key practices of Insight Dialogue, self-compassion, and silent meditation that they have found help us break free of the “man-box” of repressed fear, shame and rage. We trust that this day of shared inquiry and practice will help prepare participants do the work of disrupting patriarchy by learning to liberate their native capacity for relational wisdom, social emotional competence and generative humanity.
