Collard-Picard Cuvee Dom Picard Blanc de Blancs Champagne Grand Cru 2021

Dom. Picard pays tribute to Dominique Picard, father of Caroline Picard, and this 2021 Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru villages of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Vinified in large oak barrels and aged on fine lees, it pours a bright, light gold and opens with a complex, rich nose of pastry and white flowers. The palate is intense and ample yet steeped in freshness, with a lively, precise attack and the crystalline tension typical of the 2021 vintage. It is a wonderfully energetic Champagne that still shows remarkable harmony, balancing aromatic richness with mineral drive before a long, seamless finish that speaks clearly of its exceptional origins.
