This sale is for a vintage hand stitched floral, reversible, quilted satin light comforter or coverlet, a classic piece associate with mid-century modern bedding and Hollywood Regency style. Circa 1950’s. It features: * Reversible contrast: dual color palette, paring a vibrant dusty rose pink on one side with complementary sage green/taupe gold on the reverse. Both are glossy smooth satin finish that gives it a luxurious sheen. *An intricate, decorative stitched quilting pattern forming diamond, floral, or leaf-like shapes across the whole piece. * Elaborated starburst floral design hand stitched central medallion; * Layer of wool batting between top and bottom fabric; *Unique finish scalloped or petal cut border edges along perimeter. Measures approx.: 65” W x 76” L. It has been photographed on a queen-sized bed. Please measure your own bed for to assure a good fit. Good vintage condition. The sage/taupe toned fabric has sporadic wear with minor tears in one side of the item. Pink side is in very good condition. It is still durable. Also, that side got some accidental blue dye stains from being stored for years, in a trunk, under a blue quilt.
