Shatterproof Backcountry Hat I designed the Shatterproof Backcountry Hat specifically for hunting elk in Colorado. I didn't like how my hat would get sweaty and stay sweaty, I needed something that would stay dry, keep the sun and rain off and keep the elk from seeing me. The water-repellent stretch fabric helps shed light rain, moisture, and brush, while laser-perforated panels provide airflow during demanding hikes. Each hat is finished in our shop with a genuine leather patch sewn securely onto the front and stamped with "Shatterproof".
