After teaching and upholding the doctrines of the Church in Rheims, Bruno felt called to live the life of a hermit. He gathered some like-minded friends and founded the Carthusian Order. They gathered daily to pray, but otherwise lived in solitude. Their primary work was copying manuscripts. Feast Day: October 6
