Ornate Edwardian Era Diamond Brooch Pin

Crafted from yellow gold, silver and diamonds, this brooch pin was manufactured in the Edwardian period and is a testament to the craftsmanship of the jeweller who crafted it. The handmade brooch has been crafted from 14 karat yellow gold and is topped in silver, which was standard practice at the time. The ornate brooch has been set with a mixture of rose cut, old European and old mine cut diamonds with the largest stone being a 1.06 carat old cut diamond of H colour and P2 clarity. The other 123 diamonds are each graded as being of H colour and between SI and P1 in clarity totalling a further 5.94 carat. To the rear of the piece is a hinged yellow gold pin with catch which is working and is secure. There is a very fine safety chain attached to the piece which we have edited out of the hero image, and can of course be physically removed by a jeweller if desired, however remains at present affixed to the brooch. The hinged yellow gold pin has the ability to be unscrewed and removed, indicating that perhaps at some point in the jewel's life it had the ability to be transformed into another piece, perhaps a hair pin. In very good overall condition for a piece of its age this brooch would be a beautiful adornment to a bridal gown, or could even be worn by a gentleman who likes to make a bold statement.
