Nineteen bulbs hide deep inside the bloom, so the whole chandelier glows softly from within, with no glare and no bare bulb in sight. FAQ Questions about the Peonia Q.What is a petal glass chandelier? A. A petal glass chandelier is made of many individual glass petals hung in overlapping tiers. The style became popular in 1970s Italy. The Peonia is Korewolamp’s version, with 96 two-layer petals and 19 lights. Q.Pink, white or clear: which glass should I choose? A. Blush pink glows a warm peach-rose and suits romantic, Parisian and Hollywood Regency rooms. Milk white glows a clean, warm white and works almost anywhere. Gold warms the glass and pairs with brass, walnut, cream and blush tones. Nickel is cooler and more contemporary, matching chrome, white marble and grey stone. Q.Is the glass handmade? A. Yes. Each of the 96 petals is shaped by hand in two layers of glass, so small variations in curve, texture and tint are natural. They are what make every Peonia one of a kind. Q.Is the Peonia too big for my room? A. At 39.4″ (100 cm) wide and 27.6″ (70 cm) tall, it is designed for large rooms of about 18 × 18 ft and up, double-height foyers, and dining tables about 60″ to 80″ wide. For a smaller room, we can make a smaller custom size. Q.How high does my ceiling need to be? A. The downrod comes in three sections (19.7″, 11.8″ and 7.9″), so you can set the overall drop anywhere from about 35.4″ to 67″ (90 to 170 cm). With the shortest rod it works over a dining table in a room with an 8 ft ceiling; in open floor areas, 10 ft and above is best. For double-height ceilings we can supply a longer rod or chain. Q.Can it be installed on a sloped or vaulted ceiling? A. Yes. We supply an angled mount for sloped, vaulted and attic ceilings so the chandelier hangs level. Tell us the ceiling angle, or send a photo, when you order. Q.What bulbs does it use, and is it dimmable? A. It takes 19 bulbs. Choose E12 (standard in the US and Canada) or E14 (standard in Europe, the UK and much of Asia), up to 40W each, on AC 110–240V. LED bulbs are recommended. The chandelier uses an on/off switch and is not dimmable. Q.How is it shipped and assembled? A. The 96 glass petals are packed separately to protect them in transit. After the frame is mounted and wired, hang each petal on its hook, tier by tier. Because of its size and weight, we recommend installation by a licensed electrician. Q.How do I clean the glass petals? A. Switch off the power and let the bulbs cool, then dust the petals with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For a deeper clean, lift the petals off their hooks, wash them by hand in lukewarm water with mild soap, and dry fully before rehanging. Q.Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors? A.
