As Sandhi’s 15th vintage of Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir, the 2024 is right at home: A forest scene of wild rose, wormwood and fresh campfire lead the charge, while Morello cherry and red plum, delicate at first, shine with more time in the glass. Minerality and fine tannins coat the soft, cool breaths of fresh air that have come to accompany this old-vine fruit when fermented entirely with its whole clusters. As always, the wine’s structure and aromatics signal a long life ahead. 191 cases produced.
