BJ3 Break/Jump Glue On Cue Tip (Single)

The Taom BJ3 is a glue-on cue tip built for break and jump shots, produced by Taom Billiards in Finland. It uses a single layer of cowhide bonded to a tip pad, a construction chosen for stiffness rather than feel, so more of the energy in the stroke passes into the cue ball instead of being absorbed by the tip. It is supplied at 14.6mm, wider than most break and jump ferrules, which leaves enough material to trim and shape the tip down to match the shaft rather than working to a fixed diameter. A single-layer build has no laminations that can separate under repeated heavy contact, and the hard density holds the tip's shape and limits mushrooming across a long session. The pad sits between the tip and the ferrule face, spreading impact load rather than driving it straight into the ferrule. Hard tips of this type grip the cue ball less than a softer playing tip, which is the intent here — less spin, more speed. Sold as a single tip, fitted to a cleaned, flat ferrule with cue tip adhesive.
