Christmas Decoration Ikebana Studio

Celebrate the festive season with a special Christmas edition of our Ikebana Studio. Flowers have a unique way of transforming a space and shifting how we feel within it. In this beginner-friendly ikebana studio, you’ll be introduced to the Japanese art of flower arranging and learn how to bring a little more beauty, seasonality, and mindfulness into everyday life. More than simply arranging flowers, ikebana is a practice of observation, noticing shape, balance, space, and the changing seasons. Rooted in Japanese culture and a deep respect for nature, it offers a gentle invitation to slow down and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. For this once-a-year Christmas workshop, we’ll work with our favourite Hakusan Leaves plate set, together with a beautiful selection of seasonal flowers, to create an arrangement that will become the centrepiece of your Christmas table. With a little more scale and a more formal feel than our usual Ikebana Studio, we hope this special edition will inspire you and bring lots of joy as you create something beautiful for the festive season. The four Leaves plates can be brought together to create one generous centrepiece, or arranged individually throughout your home. We’ll explore how the plates, flowers, form and colour can come together, enjoying the process of creating something beautiful and unique to you. At the end of the workshop, we’ll serve a beautifully prepared bowl of Matcha with CIBI sweets to take a quiet moment together to savour the festive season and appreciate the arrangement we have created. A relaxed and inspiring session for anyone curious about Japanese culture, flowers, and the art of everyday living.
