This is a great student top whorl spindle with a fixed whorl and screw hook. Made by Ashford, right here in New Zealand from solid Silver beech hardwood. A wonderful entry point into the world of spinning your own yarn! Many spinners begin with a drop spindle, to learn how to draft fibre at a slower pace than a wheel. It is also highly portable, so you can spin wherever you go!
