Join us for this special opportunity to ‘red pen’ a GBRf Class 66 locomotive as we open up what would normally be an Empty Coaching Stock move to passengers and thereby providing the opportunity to enjoy haulage from a ‘winning’ Class 66 ‘Shed’. The route is short and sweet. Pre-booked passengers will join the train at Finsbury Park and travel the short distance to London Kings Cross. The Class 66 involved will play no part in our subsequent rail tour to Doncaster Wabtec, ‘The Plant’. Whilst we cannot yet confirm the identity of our locomotive we have requested a sought after example that has only provided extremely limited opportunities for passenger haulage in the past. We would emphasise however that operational issues can and do impact fleet rosters and therefore no certainty can be offered that our target locomotive will be secured. To participate in ‘The Quick Fix’ you must pre-book your ticket. No on the day fares will be accepted and only ticket holders will be allowed to board the train.
