Like all Blankens shoes, The Vienna Pony is handcrafted in a small, family-run factory in northern Portugal. We use responsibly sourced European leather from Gold Rated Leather Working Group tanneries, ensuring high quality, responsible sourcing, and a lower environmental impact. The natural hair-on leather requires careful handling during production, and the hand-stitched details demand time and precision. This is craftsmanship that can’t be rushed — designed to last and to age beautifully. At Blankens, we are a small group of women designing shoes for our own lives. The Vienna Pony is a women’s loafer crafted in dyed hair-on cow leather that gives each pair its own natural variation and texture. The softly rounded almond-shaped toe keeps the silhouette clean and balanced, while the hand-stitched apron detailing adds subtle structure to the front. Inside, a cushioned insole provides a gentle padded feel underfoot. Finished with a low heel and flexible construction, it’s a loafer designed for long days and everyday wear — expressive on the outside, soft where it matters.
