Our hand-quilted khadi bedspread is made by rural women in north Karnataka who upcycle bruised and surplus khadi and saree remnants into a one-of-a-kind piece that spans a bed, a picnic mat, a sofa back, or wherever you decide to put it. Two layers of pure cotton with no poly batting means it is breathable in summer, not too heavy in winter, and washes without ceremony. The patchwork surface changes with every piece made because no two remnants are ever exactly alike, giving each piece its own identity. For those who find identical, off-the-shelf bedspreads increasingly uninteresting, this one is already a different conversation.
