The Datoday line was Mido's flagship, and this example impressively shows why. The champagne-colored sunburst dial is a small work of art in itself. The twelve applied hour indices in a geometric cube design with black enamel decoration are a distinctive feature of the Datoday series and give the dial a three-dimensional depth that is unmatched in this price range. The applied Mido logo below 12 o'clock, the gold lettering "Ocean Star," "datoday," and "Chronometer Officially Certified," as well as the striking Dauphine hands with grooved texture complete the picture. Day and date are displayed at 3 o'clock in a gold-framed double window. The dial bears the marking "T-SWISS MADE-T" for tritium luminous material.
