Firing Notes & Kiln Safety Ceramics naturally undergo stress during firing, and rare accidents inside the kiln may occur (cracks, warping, glaze issues). Sok Studios always handles your work with care, from drying to firing. If an unavoidable kiln accident occurs, your piece will be replaced with a Sok Studios–crafted matcha bowl at no additional cost. Glaze results may differ slightly due to the nature of handmade ceramics, clay, and kiln placement.
