Pangy Roar (Pangolin) (stainless steel)

A pangolin choosing armour over an answer. The body is rounded and heavy. The back carries its protective skin in segments. The mouth is open with the tongue out, but the rest of the figure has already started pulling back. He is roaring by closing up. Mirror polish, so the room still arrives on his surface even while the body is withdrawing. You are not pushed away. You are included in the moment of pulling away. The roar that doesn't come out as sound. It comes out as armour. Mirror-polished 316 stainless steel turns the armoured body into a reflective companion. The surface holds the room inside the same gesture, which changes the protective register: even pulled back, the figure is in conversation with whoever is standing in front of it.
