At the back, a partially elasticated waistband sits beneath a traditional belt-loop finish — one flap pocket and one welt pocket, both button-fastened — a detail that bridges utility and tailoring without leaning too hard in either direction. The fabric is the thing here — an original serge developed exclusively at an Enshu region mill, weaving cotton warp with silk nep weft into a high-density construction that shouldn't feel as light as it does. The result is a surface with visible depth and subtle texture, while the hand remains dry and cool against the skin.
