Over time, with exposure to different elements, the silver will begin to tarnish. To restore the shine of the silver you can use a sunshine cloth to quickly hand polish your piece. 2. Stones: Depending on the stone of your piece, it can very well change color over time when exposed to water, perspiration, heat, lotions, soap, makeup + more. This is especially true with genuine, natural turquoise. Some folks don’t mind the change of color and love wearing their piece through it all.
